The Canon EF 135mm f/2 L has also always been an extraordinarily sharp lens with superb bokeh. It has much more spherochromatism than this new RF 135mm f/1.8 L and won't quite be as sharp wide-open for scientific and astronomical use, however for portraits it's superb.
