Look for "DJI Unlock" videos on Youtube for more detailed instructions. Remember, LAANC through Aloft (or other) or Dronzone clearance is the the FAA permission you need to fly in the airspace. DJI unlock allows the drone to fly in a locked authorization zone (presumes you already have the FAA clearance).

This is strictly DJI’s own implementation of geofencing to create a safer drone flights worldwide. It does not exactly match any region’s drone regulations except possibly China. Since you are using a DJI aircraft you have to deal with its intricacies. As a recreational pilot you are bound to following 49 USC 44809.

Login to your DJI account. 3. Select your location then be sure the Self Unlock tab is selected. 4. Select your DJI aircraft model type, then navigate the map window to the area you want to unlock (you should see the airport on the map). 5. Now click on the airport icon for the one you want to unlock.

Logging in from the controller I would assume to mean logging into your Account via the DJI App on your device (Go4 or Fly). It's possible your App has updated and you need to log in with your Account Credentials in order for the unlock to take place.
